Who We Are

A family adventure buisness since 1973

Sitting around the dinner table in 1973, my father, Phil announced that he had acquired his outfitter license and that he was going to take his passion for river running from an extreme hobby to his occupation. He did and Zoller’s Outdoor Odysseys was born. In 1998 dad introduced llamas into our  portfolio by showing up in our driveway with the “gift of llamas” for our kids. Who gives livestock as a gift? Well, we fell in love with trekking with llamas. Now, three generations strong (with ten little 4th generation adventure seekers up and coming) the Zoller family offers fishing/hunting with brother Tracy’s AdventureFishing.net, whitewater rafting with Mark’s ZooRaft.com and now llama treks as Northwest Llama Treks. Outdoor adventure, its what our family does. Join us for some true family adventures.

What We Value

Trek Variety

At Northwest Llama Treks YOU choose the type of adventure that is best for you. Whether you want to trek in and out of alpine lakes, huge flowing rivers, or rich towering forest, we’ve got it all! Do you want an easy shorter trek? We’ve got it. Looking for an agressive trek into the alpine lakes? Its yours. Not sure which one is best for you? Just give us a call and we’ll happily help pick the best llama trek for you.

Top Quality

Ccara llamas have trekking in their DNA. This is their purpose and we love helping them do what they were made to do. Quality breeding programs, nutrition and living environment produce great results. We spend countless hours working with the herd so you and they can enjoy a great day of trekking together. Combine all of that with a pristine area for trekking and you have an expereince of a lifetime.

Legacy

As a kid, I had no idea that my dad was different from the other dads. For all I knew, the other kids were trekking through the woods and down the rivers just like our family was. And you know that your family is extra unique when all of your friends refer to your dad as “sasquach” or “Grizzly Adams”. It was an incredible way to grow up. It was 1973 when dad made this adventure a full-time career and it has been one of the sweetest pleasures to have every single one of our kids work in the outdoors side by side. Now, with 10 grandkids and growing, we are training up that 4th generation of Zoller adventure guides exploring the wilds of the Pacific Northwest.

Experience

It’s a lot of fun being the original whitewater and llama trekking outfitters in the White Salmon and Klickitat River valleys and to have what just might be the longest-running family run outdoor adventure business in the Pacific Northwest. We are three Zoller generations strong and raising up the fourth right here on the river and the mountains. Outdoor adventure is what we do. It’s not a side hustle. We invest 100% of ourselves into this industry so we can provice the very best experience possible.
