A full-day Northwest Llama Wilderness Trek is your opportunity to explore areas rarely seen, all while hiking along side your trust and friendly trail companion the llama. This very special adventure takes you into the back country of the Cascade Mountains whre you will have the opportunity to hike to high mountain lakes, alpine meadows, unique lava features and shaded forests depening on the adventure route of the day.
Pack your lunck, pack your beverages (non-alcoholic), your extra clothing and other supplies as needed. Your friendly trail companion will gladly carry all your need for your day of adventure. During our lunch break, take a moment to skip a rock across a lake, eat a handfull of mountain huckleberries, and look for deer, elk or mt. goats. Take a few selfies of you and your new hiking buddy or close your eyes for a few minutes and enjoy the solitude of the wilderness.
The typical Wilderness Day Trek includes hiking 5-11 miles round trip and includes elevation gains of 50 feet per mile to 500 feet per mile. Most elevation gain is on the way in to our lunch destination while the return hike is mostly loosing elevation. All trekking is done on maintained public trails and start as well as terminate at public trail-heads. A Northest Forest day-use pass is required for your vehilce and can be purchased online
